This porcelain vase is a truly one of a kind stunner. Thrown on the pottery wheel, then altered, this vessel was fired in a soda firing, giving it the signature color palette ranging from oranges to greys to creamy whites. Glazed on the interior with a beautiful orange shino glaze, the exterior is glaze soley by the atmosphere created in a soda firing. This vase would be a beautiful flower vessel and could just as easily stand alone. Evidence of the wadding is visible as is typical in a soda firing (see final photo).
Photos are a good representation of the product but please remember that because each piece is formed and decorated by hand, some amount of variation in shape, size, color, and pattern is to be expected and the piece you receive may vary slightly from what is pictured here. Each piece is unique and this variation is part of what is lovely about handmade goods.
