Collection: Soda Collection

This collection presents a special body of work fired outdoors in a high temperature gas or wood powered soda kiln. When our kiln nears its final temperature (~2300F), sodium carbonate and bicarbonate are introduced. This soda vaporizes and travels with the fire throughout the kiln. Wherever the soda lands it creates glaze and the classic color palette of soda fired work. These firings are unpredictable and organic--each piece is unique and can never be recreated. These heirloom pieces are one of a kind.
