Soda Collection

Welcome to our Soda Collection, a small body of porcelain work fired outdoors in a high fire gas powered soda kiln. When a kiln reaches 2300F, sodium carbonate and bicarbonate are introduced. This soda vaporizes and travels with the fire throughout the kiln. Wherever the soda lands it creates glaze and the classic color palette of soda fired work. These firings are unpredictable and organic--each piece is unique and can never be recreated.
